Rufus & Coco Bug Off Repellent Spray

New to Minipet!

Rufus & Coco Bug Off is a professionally formulated insecticide and repellent spray for dogs and cats. It repels flies, fleas and mosquitoes.

It controls fleas (Ctenocephalides spp) and lice (Hecterodorus sp, Linognathus sp, Trichodectes sp and Felicola sp) on dogs and cats. Bug Off is an oil-based solution that doesn’t sting – most other repellents are alcohol-based.

How to get rid of bugs:
Give your pet a light spray for a few seconds every day (or twice daily in severe cases), using a sweeping motion from head to tail. (For cats it’s a little different – just dampen a cloth with Bug Off and wipe a small amount through the coat.) To stop fleas from breeding spray beds and kennels, too.

Try not to get any Rufus & Coco Bug Off in their eyes, nose or mouth.
May cause dribbling and unsteady gait in cats. If these occur, wipe off excess product and contact a veterinarian. Not to be used for any purpose, or in any manner, contrary to the product's label unless authorised under appropriate legislation.

Pyrethrins- These natural extracts are made from chrysanthemum flowers and affect the nervous system of insects. All pyrethrins are easily hydrolysed and degraded by stomach acids so toxicity following ingestion by pets is very low. Pyrethrins are generally safe for kittens as young as 4-6 weeks of age
Pyrethrin is NOT the same as permethrin. Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethrin and is less easily broken down than pyrethrin. Although its toxicity is relatively low, it is higher than that of pyrethrin. Pyrethrins can be used on cats; permethrins should NOT be used on cats.
However, there are some unusual cases of Pyrethrins causing dribbling and unsteady gait in cats. If these occur, wipe off excess product and contact a veterinarian.

Piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is a pesticide synergist.
Di-n-propyl isocinchomeronate (DPI) A fly repellent.
N-octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide (OBD) This enhances the repellent effect of the main active ingredient. 6.0g/L di-n-propylisocinchomeronate, 1.5g/L pyrethrins, 3.0g/L noctylbicycloheptene dicarboximide 2.7g/L piperonyl butoxide

Q: Is Bug Off safe to use on kittens and puppies?
A: Bug Off contains natural pyrethrins, which should be safe for use on pets as young as 4-6 weeks. If you notice unsteady gait or dribbling, wash your pet immediately and contact a vet. Bug Off does not contain permethrins, which are synthetic chemicals and are unsafe for young animals and cats.

Measure for a Collar

To measure for a collar or bandana, you need to measure your dog or cats neck. (Just like measuring for a shirt.) Place a tape measure around their neck allowing two fingers to slip under the tape for comfort.

How to get the correct harness size

You need to measure the chest behind the front legs to get the sizing. Place a tape measure behind the front legs around the chest.  Use that measurement to select the size from the shopping cart. For example:  If your dogs chest is 49cm then he needs the medium in the soft harness.

How do I measure for dog clothing?

To measure for dog clothing, measure the length of your dog's back, neck and chest (if applicable) and take note of the measurement. If your dog is in between sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size, otherwise, it may be too baggy.  As each of our design collections has different measurements, be sure to read the specific sizing specifications of each product carefully.
